The UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development addresses issues impacting the globe and seeks possible solutions. The focus of Sustainable Development Goal 12 (SDG12) is to ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns. This goal is vital to decreasing the world’s overuse of natural resources and minimize waste and pollutants. The UN has listed 11 targets for SDG12, to ensure the achievement of this goal.

Sustainable usage of natural resources and minimizing waste and pollution is a major issue of social and sustainable development because of its impact on heath and quality of life. Changing consumption patterns is a necessity to help people and the environment survive the ravages of pollution and the lass of natural resources.
