Building Bridges | Abdul Said

Edited by NVINY Creative Team

Writer and professor Abdul Said discusses the importance of removing barriers and building bridges to spread the message of peace and nonviolence. Dr. Said has worked as a consultant in many United States and United Nations agencies, and has put many peace and conflict resolution projects into action. He was awarded the El-Hibri Peace Education Award in 2007, and is the first occupant of the endowed Mohamed Said Farsi Chair of Islamic Peace at American University. Abdul Said teaches international relations at American University. Despite growing up in the midst of the violent conflict in Palestine, Dr. Said has emerged as a true hero of nonviolence with a specialty in building bridges between antagonists.

We are so honored to sit down with him to talk about his projects!
