Lara Alqasem is a 22-year-old young woman who is a graduate of the University of Florida, with a passion for International peace and justice. She was granted a student visa from the Israeli Embassy in Washington, DC to study for her Masters degree in Israel- Palestine. Despite her student visa, she is being denied entry to pursue her studies reportedly due to her public stance against oppression and advocacy for nonviolence. 

She is currently detained by Israeli authorities and has been held at Ben Gurion airport since Tuesday, Oct. 2nd pending deportation. She is appealing to the Supreme Court and needs all the help she can get.
